They often look elegant, noble and powerful, and they have such a range of behaviour to capture, from grooming and play to hunting.

Many of these images were shot at Masai Mara in Kenya.

The main National Reserve has it's issues, but the wildlife there is still remarkable.

But there's great work being done in the surrounding Mara conservancies.

They're trying to balance the needs of Maasai farmers and the need for wildlife conservation.

Fortunately, big cat numbers in the conservancies, such as Naboisho, are thriving.

There are plenty of chances of seeing lions, cheetah and leopards while you're there.
