Explore a little travelled part of Pakistan with a tour that journeys from Islamabad to Lahore along the grand trunk road. Here you will have the opportunity to watch the flag lowering ceremony carried out on the Indian border before taking in the sights of the striking Derewar Fort in the Cholistan Desert. Later, find yourself immersed in the 5000-year-old history of the Indus Valley and taking in the sights, sounds and importantly tastes of Karachi and its bazaars.

Travelling in small air-conditioned vehicles with local guides and in very small groups, this tour gives you a unique experience of Pakistan which will last a lifetime. All your meals will be included in this tour, so you can relax and enjoy this incredible country. Day 1 Meet and greet at Islamabad airport.  Transfer to our hotel.

City tour of Islamabad – Shah Faisal Mosque, Rawalpindi, Daman e Koh view point and Taxila Museum (Jaulian Monastery).

Days 2 to 4 Drive the Grand Trunk Road to Lahore.

Visit Rohtas Fort (1540AD)

2 full day’s sightseeing in Lahore – Moghul architecture, Lahore Fort, Royal Mosque, Jahangir’s Tomb and City Museum.

 ‘Food Street’ in the old town, to try the many different dishes and flavours.

The Old Walled City, Sarafa and Kashmiri Bazaar, Shahi Hamam (Royal Bath) and the Wazir Khan Mosque.

Days 5 to 7 Harappa archaeological site – 3000 BC

2 nights in Multan, the City of Saints. 

Full day city tour in Multan - Shrines of the Mystics, old walled city and bazaar

Bahawalpur - an independent state until the creation of Pakistan in 1947. 

Days 8 to 11 Cholistan desert.

Derawar Fort - one of Southern Pakistan’s must see sights. 

The Abbasi family tombs and Royal graveyard.

Optional camel safari in the desert and around the fort. 

Sukkur.

Kot Diji, an important Harappa site (3000 – 2600 BC).

Boat safari to Sukkur Island and a visit to Sadu Bela Hindu temple. Mohenjo-daro -5000 year old city and the centre of the Indus

Larkana, home town of the famous Bhutto family.

Days 12 to 14 Boating on Manchar Lake with the Mohanas tribe.

Sehwan, famous for the shrine of 13th century sufi saint Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

Hyderabad. Full day to explore surrounding Hala and Bhit Shah and the amazing coloured pottery (Kaashi), woodwork (Jandi), cloth printing and woven cloth (Sussi) of the area.   

Visit to see Ajrak production - a block printed cloth and hallmark of the Indus civilization.

Tour of a glass bracelet factory and bazaar.

Karachi.

Thatta, Makli Hills and Chaukundi. 

Days 15 to 16 2 full days sightseeing in and around Karachi.

National museum  - Pakistan’s cultural heritage, from stone age to the birth of the nation. 

Mohamad Ali Jinnah Mausoleum (the oldest Sufi shrine in Karachi)  

Clifton Beach and the curative powers of the hot sulphur springs.

Final meal in one of the many diverse restaurants of Karachi.
