This tour combines Thailand’s cultural highlights with one of the world’s most famous celebrations – the Full Moon Party in Ko Pha-Ngan. But before you throw down, get your cultural fill first. Keep the energy up in Bangkok before relaxing in serene Chiang Mai. See a different side of Thailand on a Northern Hilltribes trek, or marvel at the unique lowland jungle of Khao Sok. When it comes to Thailand, you really can have it all.
Day 1 Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok at any time.
Day 2 Bangkok/Chiang Mai (1B)
Opt to visit Wat Po and the Grand Palace, or check out the city’s klongs by boat. Board an overnight train to Chiang Mai.
Day 3 Chiang Mai
Enjoy one of two street food crawls with the group and CEO. Opt to visit Doi Suthep temple, comb the night markets for souvenirs, or participate in a Thai cooking class.
Day 4 Chiang Mai/Ban Mae Jok (1B, 1L, 1D)
Trek through rugged forests and experience the wonderful diversity of this region: each village has its own language, belief system, style of dress, and traditions. Drive from Chiang Mai to Mae Malai village, where the trek will begin. After a few hours of hiking, reach the first village.
Day 5 Ban Mae Jok/Pa Khao Lam (1B, 1L, 1D)
Trek 2-3 hrs and, after lunch, head to a Karen village to see how to make traditional baskets and scarves. Continue trekking another few hours to the next village for the night.
Day 6 Pa Khao Lam/Chiang Mai (1B, 1L)
After breakfast, leave the village by bamboo raft, stopping at other villages along the way. Meet the van after lunch and head back to Chiang Mai for some free time to explore.
Day 7 Chiang Mai/Bangkok (1B)
Opt to go shopping, enjoy a Thai massage, or explore Chiang Mai’s many temples. Board an overnight train to Bangkok.
Day 8 Bangkok
Get out and explore this fantastic city where there is endless sightseeing to be done.
Day 9 Bangkok/Surat Thani (1B)
Get to know Thailand’s capital. Check out Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, get a Thai massage, or explore the klongs on a boat tour before an overnight train. Enjoy a street food crawl with the group and CEO either today or another day on tour.
Day 10 Surat Thani/Khao Sok (1B, 1L)
Enjoy an included breakfast at G Adventures supported Khao Thep Pitak Community-Owned Farm & Restaurant. Continue on and discover the natural beauty of the area with an excursion to Lake Cheow Lan. Opt to go hiking or swimming in Khao Sok National Park.
Day 11 Khao Sok/Ko Pha Ngan (1B)
Travel€ross southern Thailand to Ko Pha-Ngan in the Gulf of Thailand. Settle in and get ready to celebrate the full moon at one of the world’s most famous parties.
Day 12 Ko Pha Ngan (1L)
Experience some of the best Ko Pha-Ngan has to offer on a full day excursion to idyllic Bottle Beach. After a guided trek through the jungle, savour a Thai lunch on the beach and soak up the sun and laid back vibes. This evening, head out for a party you won’t soon forget.
Day 13 Ko Pha Ngan
Spend the day exploring the island.
Day 15 Ko Pha Ngan
Depart at any time. If booking a flight out of Ko Samui airport, the earliest departure time should be 11:00 am
