Travel C.V. ttbko

About me: I'm a social worker, hard wired to observe and analyse! Add to that being born a Sagittarian on a Thursday, the granddaughter of a Maltese citizen born in Egypt and travelling had to be in my blood! I'm also a biker - motorised variety - so open, uncrowded, bendy, sweeping roads are a magnet I cannot refuse.
Location: south west u.k.

Last trip: Wales for a Sikh Wedding
Next trip: Brum for the Bike show and then the Loire Valley for a proper rest

The world according to ttbko

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Mountain. All that height/altitude/view/space. I'm 5'2"! Its normal for me to feel smaller than everything/one around me. In mountains, everyone is the same. That said, living in the Discover Channel that is the jungle is not to be sneezed at.

What was your first great travel experience?
A school cruise round the Mediterranean on SS Uganda when I was 14. It cost my parents £75 and I fell in love with the Corinth Canal, Dubrovnik Harbour, Knossos in Crete and a boy called Tony! I also learned of the benefits of Kwells...

What has been your favourite journey?
My numerous trips to Iran

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Esphahan, Iran; Isla Bastimentos, Panama; The Millau Bridge, France; Barcelona, and Pikes Peak, Colorado.

Recommend a special place to stay
Monjardine, Bargemon, Provence! The most romantic, beautiful, peaceful cottage anywhere! We were very very happy there.

Which three items do you always pack?
Moisturiser, Driving Licence and a cafetiere. Gotta get my morning coffee!

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Iran but sadly that passport has now been renewed so its probably time for a revisit.

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
New Zealand... unfortunately, circumstances dictate that goes on hold for a few years. However, I doubt NZ is going anywhere.

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
At least 2 large cups of good, fresh, ground, black coffee every morning.

Window or aisle?
Window!!! I'm basically fairly antisocial and, as one of lifes observers, where better?
