Travel C.V. Scott Bennett

About me: The travel bug hit in my mid-twenties and has been going strong ever since. (which is more years than I'd like to acknowledge) Having worked in the animation industry for many years, I finally had enough and am now full time writer/photographer. It's been a challenge, but as a friend of mine once said, "If it's easy, everyone will do it!"

The world according to Scott Bennett

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
That one is a really tough call as I like all of them! If I had to name one though, I'd have to say ocean as I love scuba diving.

What was your first great travel experience?
That would be Australia in 1987. It was a bit of a whirlwind, visiting North Queensland, Northern Territory and Sydney in only two weeks. Ironically, I ended up living in Sydney two years later.

What has been your favourite journey?
Another tough call but it's a toss-up between Burma and Northern Pakistan

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Tanzania, India, Pakistan, Burma and Canada (OK, so I'm a bit biased for the last one)

Recommend a special place to stay
Lake Manze Camp in the Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania. The whole safari camp feel was amazing with lots of wildlife right on the doorstep.

Which three items do you always pack?
Anything involving camera gear.

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Pakistan

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
Madagascar

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
The very aspect of travel.

Window or aisle?
Definitely window so I can sleep uninterrupted
