The world according to Meet the Gringo

Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Ocean - surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling and some of the most amazing creatures on the planet. But I do love mountains as well.

What was your first great travel experience?
My first few trips abroad were travelling from the North West of England to the South of France with my family by car when I was a child (3!).

What has been your favourite journey?
I did a year trip on the much travelled route from India, Nepal through South East Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia) and Hong Kong onto Oz, NZ, Fiji and USA. OR the 4 months I spent in South America. Can't pick between the two!

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Havana, Cuba; Paraty, Brazil; Lake District, UK; Vang Vieng, Laos; Galapagos Islands, Ecuador

Recommend a special place to stay
On a boat in the Galapagos Islands. We stayed on the Angelito which was one of the cheaper options but was superb.

Which three items do you always pack?
Camera, Corkscrew, Adapter plug

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
All of them. Each has its memories.

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
I would love to see more of Africa. Also high on my list is Burma, China, Jordan. The list however is endless as I'm getting strong urges to return to previously visited countries!

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Sampling the local beer. We also collect fridge magnets and masks (mostly wooden) from places we have been!
