Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
A bit of each really. It depends on my mood.
What was your first great travel experience?
South Korea in 1987. There was no English anywhere and travelling the country was a lottery but the South Koreans were amazingly helpful and would go out of their way to stick me on the right bus/boat/train.
What has been your favourite journey?
11 days travelling as voyage crew on the Soren Larsen, a tall ship, in Vanautu. The trip took me from Espiritu Santo to the Banks Islands, along the route that Captain Cook took in the Resolution.
What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Tobago, little sister of Trinidad in the Caribbean.
Uepi Island in the Solomons. The White Desert in Egypt. Chobe National Park, Botswana. Nepal, Everest trek.
