Remembering a special Zambian friend at Christmas by JayR

She was just three years old in May 2009 and an orphan being looked after by 'aunts'. It was her first day at pre-school and she didn't know what to do. She stood in the playground and watched and chewed her sleeve and when we sat down to lunch all she had in her lunch box was dry bread.

She likes to be called Rose. I met her when I worked with the Bookbus in 2009 and I wanted to scoop her up and bring her home with me.
