Mountain/Desert/Ocean/Jungle... which one are you?
Mountain - I like to have the world at my feet.
What was your first great travel experience?
First visit to the Alps, Switzerland. Everything seemed so different from Ireland - the smells, the tastes and the sights. Even Africa didn't have the same impact on my senses as that first trip to Switzerland.
What has been your favourite journey?
The Coast to coast. Walking across England from the Irish Sea to the North Sea with my husband and young children was something special.
What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
Tofino, Vancouver Island for its wild location; Vancouver for its cosmopolitan sophistication combined with mountain, sea and forest; Barcelona for its art and history, Stonetown, Zanzibar for its faded beauty and atmosphere and Crater Lake in Kenya (near Lake Naivasha), where you can walk amongst the wildlife and breathe in Africa.
