This is quite fabulous! Sadly, I drove through the park in the daylight but since our next trip wil go that way too, guess who's going to be in control of timing???

I tried to do this in the Antarctic but it was pre digital days which made matters difficult and the camera just kept literally freezing open. Pity there wasn't a joshua tree in silhouette.....

Wow, I love night shots of the heavens. The category winner of the Veolia Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Wild Places, is a stunning shot of the Milky Way, which blew me away when I first saw it. Worth a click, if you haven't already seen it.
