Seasons Greetings by DrG
Since I'm skipping the cold for Christmas this year, I thought I'd also depart from my usual cold-image christmas cards! This was a young DrG in the Okavango around christmas 94.... maybe I'll try it again! Anyway, best wishes to all my old and new MyW chums! Hope you have good times wherever you be

You're quick with the Xmas wishes, Jon. Have a great time in Chobe and South Luangwa. Won't be the same without turkey and pud, though. All the best. Jean

Oh, one of a fella in clean water!! Very timely Jon, all the very best to you and MrsG for xmas as well. I read on the Forum of your travels and didn't get the chance to comment then. Sure I was a-feared to touch the keyboard; the fingers were trembling with envy! But now your Xmas wishes warms me wee heart and I sigh nostalgically at thoughts of Maun, Moremi, Sauvete and RIVER CROSSINGS that you allude to. Enjoy - it will undoubtedly be brill....cheers!

You beat me to it, I was just considering this morning which snowy pic I would post as a christmas greeting. Have a great time Jon, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Look forward to pictures and experiences from you in 2012. You never know, by the time you come back I may have nagged Graham into posting some clips of Yellowstone!

Happy Christmas, Dr G. And have a great trip in the warmth. I've been enjoying the 'poetic' discussion going on between you and Steve. I've had this discussion so often with my husband (without the rhyme!) He's also a doctor/scientist/conservationist - so you can probably guess who is arguing what! We haven't had the discussion for a while though - we tend to go round in circles. I guess we're learning that we'll have to agree to disagree!!

Merry Christmas to you Jon, As always, the year has been punctuated with your postings, some beautiful, some thought provoking, some screamingly funny, but always kind, thank you for that. Enjoy your season in the sun, come back and share all you're prepared to, pamy x

Have a great trip DrG, and a wonderful time in Africa. Will have to postpone our little get-together to the New Year - something to look forward to in January.... Cheers, S&Mx

And a very merry Christmas to you to, DrG! We'll be celebrating in the tropics once more. I do miss the snow sometimes. Only sometimes, mind ;)

Great Christmas card, only Dr G could come up with one like this! I was tempted to post a view of the Misc Inters plant, here at scenic Huddersfield, in all it's winter glory as my contribution, but with my Gokyo Ri photo being chosen as pic of the week, maybe should stick with the white stuff. Have a great Christmas and a wonderful holiday. Cheers E xxxx

Merry Christmas Jon, enjoy Africa as much as I did on my last trip there. Fab picture by the way!

Happy New Year, Jon and family. You're right, I'd have been in much earlier with the predictable "blue" photo if I hadn't been stuck in the lab. Cheers E xxx

Thanks for comments, vantage point nothing more exotic than the top of the cable car, just walked out onto the viewing platform but the air was on the thin side, highest cable car I have been in. Actually Graham took the pictures, he wanted me to put them onto my Flickr page so I thought I would resurrect them here, they were posted way back in 2008 at the dawn of GoWander. At the moment the balance between pre plastic colonics and Destis is 50/40 towards Destis and Ft, homemade biscuits may just swing it.
