What is a flat headed cat??  Is that one that has been run over by a kayak?

A flat headed cat (Prionailurus planiceps) is a stunning little cat not much bigger than a domestic, with quite strong facial markings. We found one fishing from low lying branches and kayaked to within 3m of it and watched it for about 10mins.... a lucky spot indeed as they are rarely seen without camera trapping. Cheeky!

I prefer Angela's theory.  Like the idea of a web-footed cat though.

Thanks for the explanation John.  Sounds like something I would love to see.

If cats are yer thing and patience is unlimited then there are flat-heads, leopard cats, clouded leopards, marbled cats and Bornean bay cats.... I can lend you some camera traps if you like? We nabbed bearded pig, banded palm civet, mouse deer, short-tailed mongoose, argus pheasant, buffy fishing owl, pig tail macaque, and silvered langur amongst others this year :-)

Hi, no it was too early for the bears to look for berries, they had not long come out of hibernation which is why they looked a bit scruffy.  They had had a really bad winter early 2011.

No, didn't get any tickets for the horse events much to my disgust.  However, coverage on Sky has been brilliant and Greenwich Park looks lovely, they have really done a good job with the facilities.  At present have half an eye on the event show jumping, looks like we possibly may get silver, Germans have already clinched gold.
