Destination Zero Degrees by DrG
Renowned trekker pins down a certain Dr on the small matter of penguin proximity in 'Whitewich''. Olav (Rhoda's Desties spy) suffers in silence! See the Forum thread 'Desties get together'.

What other mischief did you get up to? Great to see you at Desties (and find out that Fintown is an actual place).

Twas a damn tragedy that I missed it! Can I seek a little advanced planning for next year, do you think?

The intrepid explorers start their expedition to Desties. I understand the Big Fella in Red came bearing gifts, Emerald Caramels by all accounts. Hope you all had a great time. K

Would have expected nothing less from you pair of idiots!!!Great to meet you at long last, hope you had a safe trip home, this has certainly cheered me up on a Monday morning. I have your postcard and the "ten commandments" pinned on the noticeboard above my desk. It will give me many a smile on the days when the patients are getting to me!
Oh God! another senior moment, seem to be having lots just lately! Thought the Trekker had posted this, hence the comment. Sorry.

I bet the penguin was disgusted.

Is that F.T.? Looks rather like the gorgeous Mikel Arteta. I really should have braved the ungritted roads and made it to destinations!

Did you bring this gear with you FT? - or was it provided for the Arctic conditions in London!

for the benefit of our favourite hobbit... and anyone else who pondered the same question... http://www.wanderlust.co.uk/mywanderlust/members/drg/photos/antarctic-phd-fieldwork_15048/54648 that should answer the body question and as for soul, nothing could be better than this... http://www.wanderlust.co.uk/mywanderlust/members/fintown-trekker/experiences/the-twin-towers---a-trip-burned-on-the-walls-of-my-memory_3365
I've just realised you two are wearing the same gear as in your profile pictures (not very observant). Inspired!

Gutted I didn't get to meet you both! The connection wasn't good enough for some banter. Next time, then...

I never laughed so much at my silly self! Jon I thought you promised that was only going to be sold at auction to all the page 3's for my favourite charity.? You scoundrel! Mrs FT will be so annoyed - next thing Pliers will be wanting me to imitate your past glories and pose in the buff! Oh, Pliers I just love the allure of the vise-like grip of a drooling female.....and after all did you not see Jons comment about the serious expedition across the tundra blasted approaches to Earls Court? He tucked in to my better half and she is no more - Two days of wearisome wanderings, goretex'd and ventiled to the teeth, and having had to eat their last wife at South Ken, which thankfully, provided the sustenance for the final push to the Court of Earl etc! Some brilliant lol comments here, JayR - I herewith call for the briefest witty comment award! And Jon tell sat no more - mischief happening in Whitewich stays in frozen silence and Kev sure never would I have got in without the kindness of your charity. Damn pity though - a fella turns up in a Big Red Coat and the can't haven't got the harmonies right for your adapted Xmas number for Santa arriving in Whitewich! A pair of IDIOTS says our favouite furry animal, ah come on now! And Helen, of course in best Norn Iron tradition I came attired but the dangerous weaponry had to be cast locally but Rhoda twas easier getting a penguin through security than an ice axe! Thanks Pam - I gotta da soooul baby but Bilbo I dang near lost the body when I rugby tackled some other doll with Pam on the name badge. Oh, the mortification of it all... SP, me darlin' man of Flann fame - where the hell where ya? Some of the mayhem meself and the G man should be fit to lay at your door - our wee shoulders are too narrow! As for our compadres all the way from the sub continent well, a wave goes a long way and is all the more endearing in freeze frame....good to see the flesh of ye and good idea - if Daisy doesn't come up with the pdf maybe I will take a second lesson in photoshoppery and find an email address for you and Jamie boy..... Cheers all....
