MrsG had never been to Australia & was keen to find out why I found it so fascinating. We took advantage of the plethora of holiday days Easter 2011 to cover Tas, Victoria & The Top End

    Out to the Atacama

    by DrG :

I loathed French! It wasn’t the fact that I had to learn another language, as I already had some Latin under my belt. It was because I wanted to learn Spanish.

Having had travel plans to Jyvaskyla dashed by faulty body parts recently, and plenty of time to contemplate the ceiling and wanderings past, I recall a similar situation under traumatic circumstances

The most important items to be delivered to Antarctica after a long winter are mail and fresh produce. A fresh face... well that's just inconsequential

An hour in the company of Kenyans

An alternative to uploading photos (I only took nine this week), I contemplate four very different Kenyans I have spent time with and reflect on their different lives / views

Dust and honey... Kenya's forgotten Rift

Lake Baringo was a jewel, a paradise for birders, the sort of place an avid twitcher could notch two hundred species in a day if one was up with the grey-headed sparrows and to bed with the Verrea
