Cheetah by calamine2808
Taken at the Otjitotongwe Cheetah Farm, these creatures although timid are by no means tame. They are tolerant of human contact but must be given the utmost respect. Feeding and stroking the cheetah was an amazing experience though I wouldn’t fancy outrunning one if they decided I’d naffed them off!

Wow, fancy getting to stroke a cheetah, I would be in seventh heaven to get that close.

Mmmm... know what you mean. Although I did laugh contemplating how one would naff off a cheetah! Some chums of mine on Laikipia in Kenya had a beautiful cheetah for several years from being orphaned. They had a glorious sign on their gate saying beware of the cat, and since they have seven dogs and oodles of 'normal' cats anyway, I always enjoyed taking my mates around there and seeing their reaction when Claudia rocked up and decided to share the sofa. The closest I came to naffing her off was when she bundled past me one day after a game of 'chase'... never have I felt so inadequate... and as she knocked me off balance I reached out to steady myself by grabbing instinctively at her scruff..... @~%$£@ hell she was onto me like a shot but thankfully did not unleash her full potential. My wife thought she'd be carting me home in pieces! (She's a Burnley lass too....)Beautiful beasts! Cheers, DrG
