The world according to Alan Taylor

What has been your favourite journey?
Any number - but I'll say my first visits to Brazil and Ethiopia because I made new friends who enhance my life and help me revisit the memories.

What are your Top 5 places worldwide?
1. Home - I am always happy to return there 2. Ethiopia - I love the land and people 3. Italy - especially Lucca 4. Brazil - it's such fun, especially during carnaval 5. Crete - sun, sand, stones, wine ...

Recommend a special place to stay
Hotel de Casas de la Juderia, Seville

Which three items do you always pack?
Boring! - medicines, passport, return ticket

Which passport stamp are you proudest of?
Proud? Well the Uzbekistan visa is the most flamboyant

Which passport stamp would you most like to have?
I was beginning to think about Syria - but that's on hold for the time being

Where or what is your guilty travel pleasure?
Any quiet beach with warm water, a good book and nothing to do for a couple of hours

Window or aisle?
Window - you get to see some of the places you don't get to go to.
