Henry Stedman

Henry Stedman has been writing guidebooks for almost two decades now for various publishers including Rough Guides, Bradt and Trailblazer. As well as co-authoring the Rough Guides to Indonesia and South-east Asia, Henry has also written books on Palestine and the Near East. Now specialising in trekking, Henry is the author of the best selling Kilimanjaro: The Trekking Guide to Africa's Highest Mountain as well as guides to trekking in the Dolomites and several British national trails including Hadrian's Wall and the Coast to Coast path. He is the co-author of three books covering the entire length of the 630-mile South-West Coast Path.

As well as travel writing, in 2008 Henry set up his own trekking agency organising treks up Kilimanjaro and also runs the Kili based website www.climbmountkilimanjaro.com to keep readers abreast with the latest developments on the mountain. When not climbing and writing about Africa’s Highest Mountain, Henry lives in Hastings on England‘s south coast. Friends describe him as living proof that virtually anyone can climb Kili.
