Adrian Phillips

Adrian Phillips is Publishing Director at Bradt Travel Guides (www.bradtguides.com) and an award-winning freelance travel writer (of both guidebooks and articles for national newspapers/magazines).

His writing commissions have seen him tracking wolves in Canada, swimming with sharks off the Great Barrier Reef, walking a wartime escape tunnel in Bosnia, following in the footsteps of Agatha Christie in Syria, and fishing for marlin off the coast of Samoa.

A frequent on-stage presenter, chair of travel-writing seminars and judge of travel-writing competitions, he is also a broadcaster with a regular travel slot on BBC Radio 5 Live. In 2012, he was voted both the BGTW Travel Writer of the Year and the AITO Travel Writer of the Year (runner-up). Follow him on Twitter at @adrianphillips1
