Day 2 - Meru National Park

Unashamedly romantic and beautifully styled, Elsa’s Kopje is sculpted into Mughwango Hill, above the site of George Adamson’s original bush camp where he raised and released orphan lions. It was here that George and Joy Adamson released their lioness Elsa before writing 'Born Free' about her life.

From the infinity pool outside the main dining area and bar, guests can look out over the Meru plains for hundreds of miles, with 360 degree views ranging from Mount Kenya to Nyambeni Hills and the vast Park with its river valleys, forests and plains below. There is also a secure and well managed rhino sanctuary. Keep your eyes peeling for the prolific wildlife from plains, forest and riverine, and in a 2 nights’ stay you would be unlucky not to see all of the Big 5.
