Perfect for first time visitors to India, or for those with limited time, our ‘Taj and Tigers’ trip really focuses on India’s iconic highlights. It takes in Delhi, Agra (home to the Taj Mahal) and Jaipur. Known as ‘The Golden Triangle’, these thre destinations offer beautiful forts, palaces and temples. The trip also takes in Ranthambore National Park, home to a great wild tiger population. The journeys are short and the options for hotels are vast, making this a really easy and comfortable trip.
Day 1 | Depart London late evening for overnight flight to Delhi.
Day 2 | This morning you will arrive into Delhi where you will be met by your private car and driver. You will be driven to your beautiful hotel where you will spend the remainder of your day at leisure.
Day 3 | Enjoy our Old and New Delhi City Tour today. Note the complete contrast in atmosphere and architecture between the two areas of the city. This evening you might like to enjoy a guided night walk through Chandi Chowk, one of India's oldest markets.
Day 4 | This morning you will catch the train to Agra, which glides through rural villages and farmland: This afternoon you will enjoy a tour of Agra, which includes the Red Fort and tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Enjoy the Taj Mahal at sunset.
Day 5 | Enjoy the glistening Taj Mahal at sunrise this morning before heading to Bharatpur via Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was the capital of the Mughal Empire for 10 years. From here you will catch the train to Sawai Madhophur, close to Ranthambhore National Park.
Day 6 | Today you will enjoy both a Morning and Afternoon Game Drive in Ranthambhore National Park.
Day 7 | Head to Jaipur today, approximately 180km away, which should take about 4 hours by road. Later afternoon enjoy our Jaipur Bazaar Walking Tour.
Day 8 | Today enjoy a Jaipur Ciy Tour with a visit to Ambert Fort. Spend the remainder of your day at leisure.
Day 9 | This morning enjoy a morning walk through a Meena trible village. Afterwards drive to Delhi with your driver, which should take around 5 hours, where you can spend the remainder of your evening at leisure.
Day 10 | Departure transfer to International airport in Delhi.
