Mongolian shamanism, occasionally called Tengerism refers to the animistic and shamanic religion that has been practiced in Mongolia and its surrounding areas at least since the age of recorded history. In the earliest known stages it was intricately tied to all other aspects of social life and to the tribal organization of Mongolian society. Tsaatan is one of the minorities in Mongolia who practice Shamanism along the centuries. This tour not only covers some of the most spectacular and iconic locations of Mongolia but also will offer insight into the Buddhist tradition of Mongolia that has and still plays a firm hand in the development of Mongolian culture and landscape.
