Algonquin Park offers over 2000km of canoe routes and 1,900 backcountry campsites, each canoe trip we plan is as unique as the people who embark on them.
Day 1 – Fly from the UK to Toronto and overnight
Day 2 – Pick up your hire car and drive to Oxtongue Lake (approx. 170 miles)
Arrive at Algonquin Outfitters, Oxtongue Lake Base where you will be outfitted with all your supplies and equipment.
Overnight in a rustic tent cabin.
Day 3 - 7
Today you will paddle to your first camp site. Depending on what type of canoe trip you prefer you can either set up a base camp for several days enjoying life around the campfire, swimming incrystal clear lakes, listening for wildlife and enjoying some spectacular northern stargazing.
Alternatively you can choose to travel to a new campsite on a new lake each day. Algonquin Park's backcountry has an interconnected web of canoe routes that cross lakes, traverse rivers, andportage across land. The over 2,000km of canoe routes can take a lifetime to explore. Moving each day often produces a better chance to not only experience more of the Canadian
Wilderness but it also provides a much better chance of seeing iconic Canadian wildlife like; Moose, deer, loons, otters, and
beavers, to name a few.
Return to Oxtongue Lake Base to return your gear and end your canoe adventure with an overnight stay in a rustic tent cabin.
Drive back to Toronto and return your car in time for your
