This small, escorted group tour offers exceptional opportunities to see a broad range of marine wildlife and the world’s largest gathering of humpback whales and icebergs – all amidst giant landscapes.
Combining boat trips with land-based excursions, you can expect to view a variety of whale species, seabirds, and wildlife. Although there is no guarantee, numerous whales generally appear between late June and early August. June and July is a good time to see icebergs – once again, no guarantee! By late July, seabird colonies start to thin out, but guillemot, puffin, razor-billed auk, gannet, eagle, and many other species of wildlife are still around. You can also enjoy local museums, lighthouses scenic trails, wildflowers and songbirds. Our guests say that the genuine hospitality of the Newfoundlanders and Labradorians they meet along the way is a highlight of their holiday.
