From huge blue whales to diminutive kodkods and endemic tapaculos, Chile has a wonderful diversity of mammals and birds living in a spectacular range of landscapes.
Our tour begins in the Valdivian rainforest of Chiloé, where we look for Darwin's fox, kodkod, southern pudu and endemic birds. We search the coast and ocean nearby for marine and southern river otters, blue whale and Chilean dolphin. In the far south we visit Tierra del Fuego where king penguins nest among ruddy-headed geese and Fuegian steamer ducks. Finally we explore the mighty landscape of Torres del Paine, home to puma, guanaco, Andean condor, culpeo fox and Darwin's rhea.
