From urban magnificence to island idylls, Australia is a land of icons. And, starting in Sydney, you'll take in one of the world's city greats before hopping on to Hamilton – a Whitsundays island jewel. Ringed by palm-fringed white sands, it’s an ideal launchpad for archipelago cruises, hikes, kayak trips and the next-door Great Barrier Reef. You’ll then end with Brisbane’s pretty riverside setting of waterfront parks and world-class restaurants. Throughout, you'll be treated to included transfers and flights along with an excellent choice of accommodation to suit any taste. Before your adventures Down Under, however, you'll be treated to the cultural and culinary delights of Macao with a two-night stopover at the destination's five-star Mandarin Oriental.

Among its greatest treasures is the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Historic Centre of Macao, which boasts Taoist temples, baroque churches, elegant piazzas and the iconic Ruins of St Paul’s. Elsewhere, the 338-metre Macau Tower offers stunning views across the Pearl River Delta while glitzy casinos and world-beating shows – not least the acclaimed House of Dancing Water – add flamboyance and style. It’s all enjoyed along a seemingly endless, and utterly delicious, menu of culinary delights, including Portuguese, Chinese and Macanese with elements from Portugal, India, South America, Malaysia, Africa and China.
