Day 1 - Cancun
Departure on a daytime flight, direct, non-stop to Cancun so you should not sleep on the airplane. On arrival, your body clock will feel like late at night. You will be met and taken to your hotel for a good night sleep and be fresh the next day.
Day 2-3 Valladolid
Transfer to the colonial city Valladolid for two nights with a day to explore the Spanish architecture, parks and squares.
Day 4-6 Merida
Transfer to colonial city of Merida. Two full days of optional excursions to explore Merida, visit the Monastery at Izamal or the "Human sacrifice cenote" of Diztnup.
Day 5-7 - Uxmal & Campeche
Transfer to Campeche, visiting Hacienda Temozon en route. Explore the Puuc archaeolocial site of Uxmal, where the walls have intricate decorations, and the nearby, partially excavated site of Kabah. Continue to Campeche, staying for two nights.
Day 9 - Chichen Itza
Transfer to Chichén Itzá, to visit the extensive archaeological site with impressive, austear pyramids, the temple and observatory. There is a "son et lumiere" show in the evening. Overnight at a hotel nearby.
Day 10-14 - Beach resort
Explore Chichén Itzá further in the early morning light, rest by the hotel pool in the midday heat and early in the afternoon, transfer to the coast staying for 5 nights at Playa del Carmen, Las Palapas (Tourist) or Mahekal (First) and Maroma (DeLuxe)
Day 15 - Return home
Transfer to Cancún airport for your flight home, arriving home the following Day 16.
