Day 1 - Overnight flight to Buenos Aires
Depart on overnight flight to Buenos Aires.
Day 2 - Buenos Aires
On arrival transfer to your hotel staying for 3 nights. In the afternoon we have a tour of Buenos Aires, named the “Paris of South America” for its turn of the century French architecture. We visit La Boca, with its brightly coloured houses, the Cathedral, Recoleta area and the Presidential Palace, with its famous balcony where successive leaders have made appearances. Optional dinner and evening to experience a tango show.
Day 3 - Buenos Aires
Day at leisure to explore Buenos Aires or choose from a number of optional tours & excursions:
Days 4-6 Lake District
Flight to Bariloche, in Argentina’s Lake District, staying for three nights. This alpine town is surrounded by beautiful mountain countryside, with excellent hotels and country lodges. The scenery ranges from lush, snow-covered mountain peaks and beautiful lakes, to the dry Pampa in the lowlands. It is a hub for outdoor activities, horse riding and walking the numerous trails; a wonderful place for picnics on the shore of picturesque lakes. Gabriela, our local guide, has a detailed knowledge of the area.
Day 7 - Fly to Ushuaia
Flight to Ushuaia and transfer to your hotel for one night.
Day 8 - Ushuaia & Embarkation
Morning at leisure to explore Ushuaia. Afternoon transfer to the port and embark on the M/V Sea Spirit luxury expedition cruise, and sail south along the Beagle Channel.

Days 9-10 - Crossing Drake Passage
We sail past Tierra del Fuego Islands to cross Drake Passage. Albatrosses are common here and the ship’s fins help with stability in the event of rough seas. Enjoy briefi ngs and lectures as expert naturalist guides prepare you for your visit to Antarctica.
Days 11-15 - Antarctic Peninsula
South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. The captain will take advantage of weather conditions and long daylight hours to exploit every opportunity to observe wildlife, view amazing scenery and take excursions ashore by zodiac. Waters rich in krill are home to a wide variety of whale, penguin and seal species.
We also stop at an Antarctic research station. We sail to the vast Gerlache Strait, with sheltered bays, accessible wildlife and stunning scenery. Visit Deception Island, pass the famous Lemaire Channel with calm waters, mountains and icebergs of every size and discover Paradise Bay. Everyday there are memorable excursions, sumptous meals and incredible scenery.
Days 16-17 - Return to Ushuaia
Sail northbound again. Enjoy a memorable farewell dinner.
Day 18 - Disembark & fly to Buenos Aires
After breakfast disembark in Ushuaia and transfer to the airport for your fl ight to Buenos Aires, staying for two nights.
Day 19 - Buenos Aires
One free day to enjoy the artistic, bohemian district of Palermo with cafes, galleries and shops; or take the ferry across the river to the old colonial settlement of Colonia in Uruguay, or enjoy cafes and shopping.
Day 20-21 - Overnight return flight to UK
