Quito & Otavalo Market - Days 1 - 2

Day 1 - Flight: London to Quito

Take a daytime flight to Quito, arriving the same evening, where you will be met by our representative and taken to your hotel. This is also the opportunity for our guide to provide you advice, explain your programme and answer any questions you may have.


Day 2 - Tour to Otavalo

We take a trip to the Andean town of Otavalo to visit its magnificent market, where men and women with long plaited hair, dressed in their traditional clothes, sell all types of weavings, handicrafts and homegrown produce.

Amazon & Quito - Days 3 - 7

Days 3-5 - Amazon Lodge

Flight to Coca and transfer by boat to your Amazon Lodge, staying for 3 nights. Paddle in canoes along narrow creeks, observe the exuberance of vegetation in primary rainforest and hike under the dense tree canopy. Visit a local Amazon village and meet people, who share their knowledge of medicinal plants, forest and life in the jungle.


Day 6 - Transfer to Quito

Return to Quito for 2 nights.


Day 7 - City tour of Quito

We have a tour of Quito, including the old part of the city, San Francisco main square, the Presidential Palace, churches in colonial architecture and a visit to the Gold Museum.

Galapagos Cruise - Days 8 - 14

Days 8-14 - Galapagos cruise with daily guided excursions

Flight to the Galápagos Islands where Darwin observed the wildlife that would lead him to his theory of evolution. Basking marine iguanas, waved albatrosses, blue and red footed boobies, 500lb tortoises, and friendly sea lions abound. Cruise for 7 nights with guided excursions every morning and afternoon: walking, swimming and snorkelling, accompanied by our expert Naturalist guides to see as much friendly wildlife as possible. First Class cruises on the M/Y Eric, Letty and Flamingo I. And Tourist Class cruises on the M/Y Samba.

Day 15 - Departure

Flight back to mainland Ecuador, to connect with the return overnight flight to the UK, arriving on Day 16.
