Day 1 - Departure from UK
Take a daytime flight to Quito, arriving the same evening, where you will be met by our representative and taken to your hotel for 2 nights. This is also the opportunity for our guide to provide you advice, explain your programme and answer any questions you may have.
Day 2 - City tour of Quito
Afternoon tour of Quito, including the old part of the city, San Francisco main square, the Presidential Palace, churches in colonial architecture and a visit to the Gold Museum.
Days 3-9 - Galapagos cruise with daily guided excursions
Transfer to the airport and flight to the Galapagos islands, to board your selected yacht. This is where Darwin observed the wildlife that would lead him to his theory of evolution. Basking marine iguanas, waved albatrosses, blue and red footed boobies, 500lb tortoises, and friendly sea lions abound. Cruise for 7 nights with guided excursions every morning and afternoon: walking, swimming and snorkelling, accompanied by our expert Naturalist guides to see as much friendly wildlife as possible.
We offer a selection of expeditionary vessels for exploring the Galapagos that range in size and comfort. Whichever yacht you choose, the group ashore will never exceed 16 passengers per guide and the landings are staggered so that you can explore in small groups. An overview of our vessels can be found below, please contact one of our specialist advisers for further information and prices.
Day 10 - End of Cruise & Return to UK
