In search of the Northern Lights at the ICEHOTEL
The rooftop of Europe lies directly below the Auroral oval, a band of geomagnetic activity that surrounds the earth. NASA refers to this belt as “a footprint in the Earth’s atmosphere’, under which your chances of sighting the Northern Lights are intensified. The ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjarvi is beneath the Auroral oval and observations of Mother Nature’s greatest display can be enjoyed from its doorstep - as experienced recently by Dave from our specialist Scandinavian team. Away from the artificial lights of the ICEHOTEL and her environs, the Arctic wilderness is plunged into darkness and provides the optimum conditions for a sighting of your own. The Aurora Borealis can be observed in the skies above the ICEHOTEL between September and April and we can take you there. Our three night break is merely one example of the holidays that we can tailor-make for you.
The 3 nights holiday includes return flights to Kiruna airport (via Stockholm Arlanda). Return shared transfers. 2 nights at the ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjarvi on a Bed & Breakfast basis (1 night in an Art Suite and 1 night in warm accommodation). 1 night at a Wilderness camp on a Half Board basis. All excursions as detailed.
