Much of Iceland’s most spectacular scenery can be found in the south. Explore volcanoes, glaciers and hot springs, as well as the old town and harbor in Reykjavik, before heading into the hills to spot the Northern Lights. The south of Iceland has perhaps more natural wonders than anywhere else in the world. Bleak but beautiful, our guided excursions will introduce you to the 20m high explosions of Strokkur geyser and the thundering waterfall at Gullfoss. In Thingvellir National Park you’ll be able to watch continental plates drifting apart over a landscape of lava fields buried in snow. We also have the perfect escape from the snow and ice. Take a dip in the geothermal waters over at the Blue Lagoon. We’ll introduce you to Reykjavík with a local tour guide. Take in 360-degree views from the hilltop Perlan, see the famous Hallgrímskirkja church or just explore a city that manages to mix stylish Nordic confidence with intimate Icelandic friendliness. By night, escape the bright lights and join a trip deep into the surrounding countryside to see the Northern Lights.
