Discover Sabah, the 'land beneath the wind', on our new exciting wildlife adventure with a difference via 'planes, trains and automobiles. Take a trip on the historic North Borneo Railway: board the British built steam train and journey through the lush Sabah countryside passing fertile paddy fields and traditional villages. Jump into a 4WD vehicle and head to Kinabalu Park splashing through low-level rivers and tackling secondary gravel roads passing the roaring Kiulu River, sweeping vistas of the park and imposing Mt Kinabalu in the distance. Visit the moving Kundasung War Memorial before taking a dip in the soothing Poring Hot Springs and head into the treetops to discover jungle life on the canopy walkway.
Cruise the wildlife-rich Kinabatangan River to discover an abundance of animal and bird life. Take sedate river cruises with an eagle-eyed river guide and encounter families of proboscis monkeys, graceful hornbills, herds of pygmy elephants and hopefully wild orangutans. Enjoy watching the orangutans enjoying a good meal at Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre before ending your Borneo adventure with a relaxing stay on picturesque Gaya Island.
