Embarking on this expedition will give you an insight into the varied cultures of West and Central Africa and all the challenges this vast continent can throw at you. There will be days when it will be pretty tough - bad roads, harsh terrains and extremes of climates, but you will also get to experience, see and discover a continent most travellers only dream of - whilst having the experience of a lifetime! Days 1 to 28 Fly from UK to Gibraltar to meet the expedition vehicle.

Morocco

Chefchaouen - stroll through this idyllic & picturesque hillside town.

Roman ruins of Volubilis.

Fez - guided tour of this fortress city & its amazing bazaar.

Marrakech - visit the world famous Djemaa el Fna square.

Days 29 to 42 Mauritania

Cross the vast Sahara Desert.

Senegal

Cross Senegal River to St. Louis – oldest French colonial town in Africa

Dakar – Great nightlife, Senegalese food and some of the best music in West Africa.

Tambacounda – Bustling market town at junction of many trade routes.

Days 43 to 70 Mali

Travel through Sahel scrubland passing slowly through remote villages

Bamako - Mali’s capital with colourful markets, lively bars and world famous music

Take a pinasse and travel the shores of the Niger River

Drive through southern Mali and the town of Sikasso

Guinea

Tropical forests and waterfalls as we cross Fouta Djalon plateau

Vibrant tribal culture in one of the poorest but proudest West African countries

Trek wild chimpanzees in Bossou near the Liberia border

Visit a fetish market to see the still thriving religion of Voodoo.

Ganvie Stilted Village - visit a village built on bamboo stilts on Lake Nakoue.

Nigeria

Drill Monkey and Chimpanzee rehabilitation centre.

Hectic cities with vibrant nightlife & bars.

Cameroon

Buea - climb Mt Cameroon or relax on the beach at Limbe.

Days 103 to 154 Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo  Angola
