Get a true taste of Pakistan with our 21-day tour which takes you in small groups, with local guides, into the heart of this stunning country. Travelling in groups of three in open top jeeps, this stripped back experience gives you the chance to get a true sense of the culture and landscape. Beginning the tour in Islamabad, we will travel up the Karakorum highway which cuts through the mighty peaks of the Himalaya, Karakorum and Hindu Kush mountain ranges. This is a route seldom travelled by foreign tourists, and gives you jaw dropping views.

Stretch your legs with a trek to the base camp at Nanga Parbat and receive a traditionally Pakistani warm welcome at Kalash Valley before hiking to the Passu Glacier. Channel your inner dare devil as you cross the death defying suspension bridge before heading over the Shandur Pass to Chitral and back to Kalash Valley. Cross the Babussar Pass (4175 m) and drive the Karakorum Highway to Fairy Meadows

Optional trek to the base camp of the 8000m + peak of Nanga Parbat

Days 4 to 6 Rama in Astore Valley - a luxuriant pine forested area

Tarashing - hike to Herrlikoffer Base Camp on the opposite side of Nanga Parbat.  Free time in the village looking at local life

Magnificent drive through the plains of Deosai National Park to Skardu

Satpara lake & Satpara Buddha

Days 7 to 9 Shigar valley and fort - area known as Little Tibet

Katchura Lake

Gilgit and Kargah Buddha (7th Century) - hopefully see a famous Polo Match!

Karimabad (Hunza Valley) - Surrounded by 7000m peaks we visit Altit and Baltit Forts

Days 10 to 11 Karakorum Highway to Passu

Borit lake - we hike to Passu Glacier and cross Gulkhin Glacier on foot

Hussaini suspension bridge - cross if you dare!

Walking tour of Karimabad town and melt water channels

Sunset at Duikar view point (3000m)

Days 12 to 14 Travel west to Gupis and enter the Hindu Kush Mountain Range

Breathtaking views down the Gupis Valley

Shandur Pass (3720m) - alpine meadows and turquoise rivers

Chitral - amazing bazaar with merchants from Punjab and Afghanistan

Days 15 to 17 Day trip to Garam Chashma hot springs

Kalash Rumbur Valley - visit the fascinating Kalash people

Fly or drive to Islamabad (weather dependant)
