This One Off Expedition will take you to many destinations that are off the regular Africa Overland route. Destinations include Mutarazi Falls National Park in Zimbabwe and we will explore Gorongosa National Park and the Northen Mozambique coastline before venturing to Lake Nyasa and Lake Tanganyika in Tanzania. We travel to Murchison Falls in Uganda before embarking into Northern Kenya and Lake Turkana making our way to Ethiopia, where we exploreone of the lowest places on the planet - The Danakil Depression. Djibouti will be an adventure in itself, as not many overlanders travel this route. We cross the Sudanese desert before following the mighty Nile to Alexandria. Days 1 to 6 Zimbabwe
Mutarazi Falls National Park - view these spectacular falls, try your hand at rafting, kayaking, ziplining and nature walks.
Gorongosa National Park - take a safari by foot, canoe or 4x4.
Days 7 to 16 Explore Northern Mozambique coastline islands and beaches.
Days 17 to 31 Tanzania
Lake Tanganyika - sunset Dhow trip.
Katavi National Park.
Kigoma - you have the opportunity to visit Gombe Stream National Park.
Days 32 to 43 Rwanda / Uganda
Kigali Genocide Memorial.
Mountain Gorilla trek. Trek to see these incredible creatures, the closest species related to man.
Murchinson Falls -take a boat trip to see the amazing falls.
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Kampala - Uganda’s capital, take a city tour or visit a Chimpanzee Sanctuary on Lake Victoria.
Days 44 to 57 Jinja - the source of the Nile, whitewater rafting, quad biking or visit a local education project.
East Africa Rift Valley.
Samburu National Park - game drive in expedition vehicle.
Days 58 to 64 Ethiopia
Days 65 to 79 Addis Ababa, the capital.
Harar - explore the city and hyena men.
Spend a week exploring the country.
Days 80 to 95 Ethiopia
Visit the 12th century rock-hewn churches of Lalibela.
Explore the city markets in Mekele.
Take a 3 day 4x4 trip into the Danakil Depression.
Visit the holy city of Axum.
Trek the Simeon Mountains.
Days 96 to 102 Sudan
Khartoum, the capital.
Visit Hamed al Nil Tomb - experience the largest market in Sudan: Omdurman Souq, as well as visit the daily camel market or take a boat trip on the Nile.
Pyramids at Meroe.
Follow piste tracks through the Nubian Desert.
Ferry€ross Lake Nasser from Wadi Halfa to Abu Simbel
Days 103 to 116 Egypt
Abu Simbel - visit the great stone monuments of Ramses II.
Aswan - stroll along the corniche, visit the temple at Philae or Elephantine Island.
2 day traditional felucca sailboat cruise to Edfu & Kom Ombo.
Luxor - take a day tour to the Valley of Kings & Workers, also visit Karnak & Luxor Temples.
Red Sea Coast - relax on the beach for a couple of days or try your hand at various watersports such as snorkelling, windsurfing or scuba diving in the cool clear blue waters of the Red Sea.
