Take in a uniquely scenic side of Southeast Asia with this tour that brings you through the best of Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the neighbouring city-state of Singapore. Explore the chaos of Bangkok and Jakarta, relax on picturesque beaches, and set foot in the lush terrain of this stunning part of the world. While there’s plenty of chances to keep the excitement up, you’ll also get lots of free time to sit back and enjoy a different pace of life.

Day 1 Bangkok

Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Bangkok/Surat Thani (1B)

Enjoy a street food crawl with the group and CEO either today or another day on tour. Option to visit Wat Po, the Grand Palace and Bangkok’s many markets. Overnight train to Surat Thani.

Day 3 Surat Thani/Khao Sok

Travel to lush Khao Sok. Opt to go hiking or swimming in Khao Sok National Park.

Day 4 Khao Sok/Ko Samui Island (1B)

Take a ferry to Koh Samui and explore the island’s beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife.

Day 5 Ko Samui Island (1B, 1L)

Take a day trip to scenic Ang Thong Marine Park. Take in the views and opt to snorkel if the tide is right.

Day 6 Ko Samui Island/George Town (1B)

Gear up for a long day of travel. Ferry back to the mainland and continue by private vehicle to cross the border into Malaysia and on to George Town, Penang, the "Pearl of the Orient".

Day 7 George Town

Full day in Penang.

Day 8 George Town/Chenderoh Lake (1D)

Travel to a local island homestay in the middle of a scenic lake. Spend the evening connecting with the locals and taking in the scenery.

Day 9 Chenderoh Lake/Cameron Highlands (1B)

Continue to the Cameron Highlands. Take a walk along one of the many well marked trails, visit the tea plantations or just relax and enjoy the cooler temperatures!

Day 10 Cameron Highlands/Kuala Lumpur

Opt to take a city tour, visit the famous Petronas Towers or check out the Islamic Arts Museum.

Day 11 Kuala Lumpur

Full day in Kuala Lumpur. Explore the city, head out of town to visit the famous Batu Caves or the Orang Asli Museum. Opt to visit the Petronas Towers.

Day 12 Kuala Lumpur/Melaka

Opt to tour the canals of Melaka by boat.

Day 13 Melaka/Singapore

Border crossing from Malaysia into Singapore. Free time to take a harbour cruise or try mouth-watering street food.

Day 14 Singapore/Jakarta (1B)

Fly to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia and the economic heart of Java.

Day 15 Jakarta/Cianjur (1B)

Venture to Cianjur via Bogor, visit the floating villages, and opt to visit a tea plantation. Experience local life by spending the night at a homestay.

Day 16 Cianjur/Bandung (1B)

Enjoy an orientation walk of the sprawling city of Bandung, then take some time to explore independently.

Day 17 Bandung/Yogyakarta (1B)

Travel from Bandung to Yogyakarta on a scenic train journey.

Days 18-19 Yogyakarta

Spend free time visiting local sights such as the Buddhist Borobudur temple complex, Javanese temples, or Mt Merapi.

Day 20 Yogyakarta/Ngadas (1B, 1D)

Continue the journey€ross the agricultural heartland of Java to Ngadas, a village in the scenic Mt Bromo region. Experience the local culture with a G Adventures-supported community homestay.

Day 21 Desa Ngadas/Bromo (1B, 1L)

After an early breakfast, say good bye to your hosts and explore more of the village on an included walk. Then begin the trek along the Ancestor Trail to Mt Bromo, led by a local guide trained through a G Adventures-supported capacity building program. Opt to hike to the volcano’s crater before continuing to the hotel.

Day 22 Bromo/Red Island (1B)

Enjoy an early morning hike to a viewpoint to take in the the enchanting moonscape of Mt Bromo as the sun rises, then travel to a sweet surf camp on the beach.

Day 23 Red Island (1B)

Enjoy a surf lesson in the morning, then use free time to explore the nearby fishing village, do some more surfing or chill out in a hammock.

Day 24 Red Island/Pemuteran (1B)

Head to Bali and the beach with time to relax.

Day 25 Pemuteran (1B)

Chill out in Bali. Opt to take a snorkelling or diving trip to Menjangan Island.

Day 26 Pemuteran/Kuta (1B)

Enjoy a morning at leisure to explore or relax, before travelling to lively Kuta, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way. Explore Kuta with some free time.

Day 27 Kuta (1B)

Spend a free day in Kuta. Opt to take a surf lesson, explore the shops, chill out on the beach, or head to one of the nearby towns.

Day 28 Kuta/Kubutambahan (1B, 1L, 1D)

Travel to Kubutambahan, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way, and stop for lunch at the G Adventures-supported Bali Community Training Lunch Program en route. Settle in to the charming guesthouse for the evening.

Day 29 Kubutambahan (1B, 1D)

Try your hand at Balinese cuisine with an included cooking lesson. Opt to trek around the village, visit a waterfall or swim in a natural spring, or check out a nearby dragon fruit farm.

Day 30 Kubutambahan/Ubud (1B)

Enjoy a morning at leisure to explore or relax. Later, travel to cultural Ubud, visiting the picturesque Gitgit waterfall en route.

Day 31 Ubud (1B)

Check out the monkey forest before exploring more of Ubud with free time. Opt to take a yoga class, get a massage, or visit the numerous temples, rice paddies, and markets. In the evening, opt to take in a traditional Kecak dance performance.

Day 32 Ubud/Gili Trawangan (1B)

Transfer to Padang Bai and catch a fast boat to the laid-back island of Gili Trawangan. Beautiful Gili T is home to clear waters and an assortment of beachfront bars, and – best of all – the island doesn’t allow motorized vehicles. Enjoy the rest of the day to explore.

Day 33 Gili Trawangan (1B)

Spend another day in paradise. Chill out at a cafÉ, rent a bike and cruise around, or just kick back and relax on the beach. This evening, enjoy a final night out with the group.

Day 34 Gili Trawangan (1B)

Depart at any time.
