Buenos Aires & Iguacu
With its rich migrant heritage, intriguing markets and elegant buildings, Buenos Aires boasts a colourful fusion of cultures unlike any other city on earth. After exploring the down-town area we then catch an overnight bus that takes us to Iguacu Falls - the largest on the planet. With time on the Argentinean and Brazilian sides, you may choose to take a helicopter over-flight or ride in a speedboat right up to the falls themselves.
Paraty & Ilha Grande
Leaving the falls behind us, we make our way to Curitiba and the Costa Verde. Time is spent in the delightful coastal colonial town of Paraty - declared a historical monument in its entirety. The coastline here is wild and largely unspoilt, the remnants of the Atlantic rainforest sweep down to the island studded Atlantic. We also spend time on Ilha Grande, swimming, snorkelling and relaxing on the sandy beaches.
Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro is a fitting climax to our journey - one of the most beautifully situated cities on earth. You can wander along the shore of two of the world's most famous beaches, Copacabana and Ipanema, ride a cable car up Sugar Loaf Mountain or enjoy the great views from the statue of Christ atop Corcovado. If you still got any energy left then why not sample Rio's nightlife and try out your samba skills!
