Sigiriya's Lion Rock & Polonnaruwa
Our adventure begins as we take to two wheels, exploring the tranquil backroads and villages. At Sigiriya we ascend to the top of the vast flat-topped Lion Rock, a natural fortress rising starkly out of the surrounding plain with superb views of the surrounding jungle. Back on our bikes we explore the fascinating ancient ruined city of Polonnaruwa.
Kandy & Rafting
Making for the cooler air of the Central Highlands, we trek in the Knuckles ranges before reaching delightful Kandy with its famous Temple of the Tooth, vibrant markets and botanical gardens. Next its time for some exhilarating white-water rafting on the Kelani River, an area of outstanding beauty.
Leopards & Beaches
From our comfortable fixed camp on the shores of the Semanalawewa reservoir, we strike out to spend time in nearby villages and learn about rural life. In Yala National Park, we hope to spot elephants and if we're lucky, leopard, on our jeep safaris. We spend our final days on the coast where the seas are tropically warm and you can take your pick from swimming, snorkelling or simply relax on the beach and enjoy a well-earned massage!
