This tour is for wildlife enthusiasts who want to relax and enjoy their holiday too. The two best wildlife spotting opportunities in the country, Yala National Park and The Sinharaja Rainforest are the main attractions. The lush countryside bursting with colour and vitality inland from Galle is also represented as well as one of Sri Lanka’s prettiest and unspoilt beaches. The€commodation is all completely unique and utterly fabulous.

In short, you don’t have to rough it to enjoy a side of Sri Lanka that the mass market operators just do not touch. This is low impact tourism at its absolute best - and you will get a fascinating insight into Sri Lanka’s extraordinarily rich flora and fauna

We start with a night in one of Colombo’s hippest hotels – a converted home, the Park Street was called ‘an oasis’ by more than one of our guests, and it is ideal for a first night. Talk to us and we can book you into one Colombo lovely restaurants too.

From here we take you off piste and into the depths of the Sinharaja Rainforest. Treks from 10km to 20km will be arranged – all at your own pace. The wildlife in here is rich and varied and your local tracker will help you spot.

Down from there for 3 nights in one Sri Lanka’s finest hotels – the amazing Kahanda Kanda. You might not wish to do anything here but soak up the views, but nearby Galle is worth a visit and the countryside round here is colourful even by Sri Lanka’s standards.

The highlight of the trip are 2 nights luxury camping in Yala with Kulu Safaris. Depening on season, it might also be in Uda Walawe. There is no better way to experience the park than by waking at 5am by one of the pretty lakes.

Finally, you end the trip in Tangalle – southern Sri Lanka’s most untouched and prettiest stretch of coastline. Kadju House is a luxury villa run by an ecologist with a thirst for nature and the trips run from here to Kalameyita Bircd Sanctuary, Bundala National Park and Rekewa Turtle Sanctuary are amazing.
