This challenging trip takes you right the way through some truly off the beaten track destinations through Ghana, Togo and Benin.
Starting in Ghana's rapidly developing capital of Accra, we through eastern Ghana past the famous Akosombo Dam to the cool hills of Mont Klouto in Togo.
We then head off on an epic journey to the far north of Benin, a remote area famous for its fantastic Pendjari National Park and the traditional Tata Somba tribal villages featuring double-storey mud huts.
In Benin, we visit the ancient Dahomey capital of Abomey and the stilt-village of Ganvié before joining the coast at the town of Ouidah. We visit the voodoo centres of Grand Popo and Togoville.
After crossing back into Ghana for the final time, we visit the old town of Keta and explore its crumbling Fort Prinzenstein before returning to the bustling city of Accra.
