Go right to the heart of the magical country of Myanmar.
We begin in the delightful city of Kunming, and travel through the stunning landscapes of southern China to visit Dali, famous for its ancient pagodas and unique Naxi culture.
Crossing into Myanmar, we will get the opportunity to explore the tribal villages of the remote Shan state, wild camp in some Buddhist monasteries en route and visit the colonial outpost of Pyin U Lwin, before heading to the former royal capital of Mandalay.
We'll then journey west past cave temples and ancient pagodas, and take a spectacular boat trip along the beautiful Ayeyarwady River to the archaeological wonder of Bagan.
We'll get the opportunity to trek in the amazing hills of Kalaw and visit the floating markets on the serene Inle Lake, before overlanding through the bizarre official capital of Naypyidaw to the incredible city of Yangon and its iconic Shwedagon Pagoda.
