This classic overland route between Cairo and Khartoum will take you from the splendours of ancient Egypt to the vast deserts of Sudan
After exploring Cairo with its world famous Pyramids of Giza and Museum of Antiquities, we'll visit the fascinating city of Alexandria, and follow the Red Sea down to the idyllic resort of Marsa Alem.
From there we head to Luxor via the fantastic Temple of Dendara and visit the Valley of the Kings and the Karnak Temple before heading south to Aswan, where we visit the pristine Temple of Edfu and take a sailing trip on a traditional felucca on the Nile.
Most Egypt trips end here, but the trip will continue via the iconic Temples of Abu Simbel into the vast desert wilderness of Sudan, to see the Pyramids of Meroe and the ruined temples of the Kushite kingdom.
