Diving Palau by liveaboard is the only way to truly appreciate this Pacific island gem, with its healthy reefs, wrecks and superb shark encounters.
Three ocean currents converge in Palau's waters, bringing with them some of the most varied and impressive marine life in the world. Every imaginable species of coral and over 1,500 species of fish inhabit the rich reefs, with sharks and barracuda a common sight. In addition to the marine life, Palau is also an excellent wreck diving destination. During air raids in 1944, x48 Japanese ships and numerous American and Japanese planes were sunk in Palau. These wrecks are scattered all over Palau and whilst most of the ships sank near the Rock Islands there are many still to be discovered.
The itinerary below is based on a seven night trip on board the Palau Aggressor ll. Similar itineraries are available on other liveaboards.
Palau can experience strong currents and dives are often drift dives. We recommend it as a destination for more experienced divers.
