Run by: Discover The World

Reference number: ICELAND-ORCASAUR4NT

From: £1079.00

Vast shoals of overwintering herring gather along the coast of West Iceland's Snaefellsnes Peninsula, meaning large pods of orca are rarely far behind.
This expert-guided small-group holiday is based in the peaceful hamlet of Hellnar and puts you in prime position for witnessing an orca feeding frenzy, as well as spectacular scenery and, with luck, the northern lights.

Highlights:

  • Two whale watching boat trips in search of orca, white-beaked dolphin and seabirds such as gannet, fulmar and eider
  • Stay in a countryside hotel with views of mountains and sea
  • Learn about wildlife and the northern lights from our award-winning guides
  • Full-day tour of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula’s stunning coast and volcanoes
  • Search for the northern lights
