Tanzania’s vast landscapes are a photographer’s dream, both vibrant and beautiful. This tour focuses on northern Tanzania and the group of national parks which together form one of the most impressive safari areas in Africa. From Arusha, drive to Tarangire National Park with its ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire river which€ts as a magnet for large animals, especially elephants in the dry season (January to February and July to October).
Continue via Lake Manyara to the Karatu area, a beautiful region of farmland just south of the Ngorongoro crater. From here, take a wildlife drive into the Ngorongoro crater where close encounters with wildlife is the norm. Finish at Migration Camp in the Kogatende area of northern Serengeti. This park, known for its huge savanna plains, excellent resident wildlife throughout the year and the great wildebeest migration, is on every traveller’s bucket list for Tanzania. Migration Camp, with its 20 luxurious elevated tents, is located next to the famous Grumeti river, one of the key wildebeest migration crossings. Here, resident hippos wallow and while away the day.
