game drives in some of Tanzania's best spots.

Day 1:

Arrival: Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be met by our representative and transferred to Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge for Dinner & Overnight.

Day 2:

Drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro  Crater for a game drive & picnic lunch in the Crater. Head to Ngorongoro lodge on the Crater rim for dinner & overnight.

Day 3: A 4km Hike taking around 2 Hours.

On arrival at Empakai crater there is the option to descend into the crater. This is around 40 minutes down and depending on season can be quite slippery but certainly a great hike with stunning views. Flamingos are often seen flying into the crater or feeding in the lake at the base.

Day 4: A 16Km Hike taking 4-6hours

Dawn rises and your lofty position affords a great sunrise. As you take breakfast your camp crew break camp and depart to  send the  camp ahead  with donkeys. You then set off hiking  with Maasai guides following a route that takes you through picturesque Maasai villages and rolling hills. Lunch can be taken on route as a picnic or if guests are very fit a late lunch can be had in camp. In the late afternoon a hike up to a nearby viewpoint is highly recommended and a great place for sundowners!

Day 5: A 14km Hike taking 4-6hrs

The final section of hiking has two options of a shorter hike or a longer more strenuous option right along the  rift wall. The views are spectacular  with the  active  volcano Oldoinyo  Lengai dominating the foreground. This volcano affects almost everything from hydrology to lifestyle, as will become apparent. Once down on the rift valley floor you are picked up and transfer to Lake Natron  Camp, Ngare  Sero and here  have  the chance to  jump in  the natural pools  to cool down. Sundowners are served at any number of beautiful points close to camp.

Day 6:

Lake Natron has a number of activities  that are  very easily combined  with  dawn walks and sundowners and in the middle of the day there is the nearby Ngare Sero gorge that you can walk  to. There are options of  long hikes  to  the source  or  shorter hikes to  waterfalls. The staff  are  on hand to make you stay as adventurous or relaxing as you want.

Day 7: A 10km Hike taking 4-6 hrs

Wake early and transfer over to the edge of the rift valley. Here you hike up following trails used by the Maasaito to herd their cattle to the rich pastures above. Dawn rises and you are afforded a stunning sunrise over the expansive rift valley. Your safari vehicle meets you at  the top and  you transfer  across the Salei  plains  to Sanjan gorge  to  camp.

Day 8: A 10km Hike taking 4 Hours

You have breakfast as our team breaks camp and prepares to trek. The hike today is through the Sanjan Gorge -a stunning fault line that over time has eroded to create a stunning gorge. Continue on to camp  at Piyaya and  take  sundowners around  the fire.

Day 9:
