Spend the first four days of your 13-night holiday relaxing and exploring Perth. Get to know Western Australia’s capital with a two-hour Tea Morning Walking Tour with A&K’s expert guide. Discover more about its history with a visit to The State Buildings at the heart of Cathedral Square along with heritage buildings and art galleries. Make the most of your final day in Perth with a visit to Bather’s Beach for a dip in the Indian Ocean. Choose to hop on a ferry to Rottnest Island and see the endearing quokka marsupial in its natural habitat. Enjoy an evening stroll in the 18-hectare botanical garden in Kings Park which is within an easy walk of your hotel. Start day five with a short flight to Adelaide, the capital of Australia’s south and renowned for its food and wine where you’ll be met and driven to your five-star hotel. Enjoy a welcome sundowner as evening falls over the skyline, known as the ‘City of Churches’. On day six leave the city behind as you pedal out to the beautiful Barossa Valley for a half-day cycling tour. Ride through conservation parks and sun-drenched valleys before sampling a glass of crisp, local wine made with the grapes from the high-altitude vineyards. As your holiday reaches its halfway point, today you’ll be flying to the Tasmania capital of Hobart. Rub shoulders with the locals as you wander around the galleries including the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) on the edge of the Berriedale peninsula. Toast your first day in Hobart with a beer and fresh fish and chip supper at the harbourside. The following day learn more about Hobart’s interesting history from your expert guide who will take you on a three-hour walk of this fascinating city. During the excursion you will see the colonial architecture of the old warehouses at Salamanca Place, dating back to the whaling days. along with the maritime village of Battery Point. On day nine fly into the city of Melbourne renowned as Australia’s sporting and cultural capital. Explore this cosmopolitan city which is neatly set out in a well-ordered grid. Sample the local cuisine and enjoy a walk in the verdant parklands. Today, you’ll learn more about Melbourne’s cultural past with a private Arcades & Alleyways walking tour. During the two-hour excursion you’ll discover lanes brimming with hip cafÉs and boutiques. After stopping to admire the iconic Victorian buildings, which stand in stark contrast to the city’s skyscrapers, you can enjoy a ride on a tram. You last day in Melbourne will take you an hour out of from the city to experience Australia’s only maritime wine region at Mornington Peninsula. You’ll stop at Yabby Lake Vineyard and Stonier Wines to sample the wine which is produced in this unique region near the sea. Lunch will be served and complimented with a perfect glass of Mornington wine before you head to two more vineyards. On day 12 you’ll fly to Sydney for the remaining days of your holiday. Spend a free day exploring ‘The Harbour City’ from seeing the iconic Opera House to getting a taste of beach life at Bondi. Enjoy a sundowner overlooking the harbour in the vibrant capital of New South Wales. The following day you’ll be shown some of the city’s hidden gems during a Culture Scouts tour led by our expert guide. This is a day to live like a local in the suburbs renowned for its street art. Visit galleries and boutiques before sampling the local cuisine and freshly-brewed coffee. On day 14 it’s time to say a fond farewell and head to the airport for your flight home.
