What to expect

The event will start with a warm welcome from Wanderlust’s founding editor Lyn Hughes. To kick things off, Alison Aiton from Tourism New Brunswick will introduce us to the province, sharing her tips and insider knowledge on things to know before you go, before handing over to well-known travel writer and wildlife enthusiast Simon Barnes. Simon spent time in New Brunswick a few years ago and will share his travel tales and photographs, by photographer Alain Clavette who accompanied him on that trip. Simon will inspire you with whale tales and stories about local bird life in the Bay of Fundy. Then it will be time for travel writer Phoebe Smith will take to the stage. She will also be sharing her first-hand experiences of the whale life and recounting her time spent at the Fundy National Park helping park rangers and scientists to count the wild salmon as well as other historical and local highlights that she experienced that so make her want to return to this part of the world. The panel will then be joined by Andy Austen from Wexas Travel who are experts in organising trips to New Brunswick, and you will have the chance to ask them all your New Brunswick travel questions.
