Join Wanderlust for a virtual evening of inspiration as we uncover the wonders of Japan. We will be joined by our Japan experts who will take us on a journey through Japan’s seasons, sharing the best things to do and top travel tips for every time of year as well as showcasing photographs of Japan’s changing beauty through the seasons.

This very special virtual evening will take you on a year-long trip around Japan. From the best spots for seeing the country’s famed cherry blossom in spring to the plethora of snow sports and traditional festivals in the winter, no matter when you decide to go, you’re in for a treat.

Rebecca Hallett: UK-based Japan specialist Rebecca Hallett has written for publications including Wanderlust, Michelin, Rough Guides, DK, Telegraph Travel and Culture Trip. Since before she can remember, Japan has exerted a special kind of pull on her, leading her to pursue a degree in Japanese Studies before she'd even visited the country. By now, she's been so many times she keeps losing count.

Alastair Donnelly: During his years living in Toyota City back in the late 1990’s, Bristol-born, Alastair discovered Japan. InsideJapan was set up aiming to give people a slice of the country and culture and get travellers ‘beneath the surface’. Having tour-led up and down the country, cycled Shikoku, motorbiked along the Noto Peninsula, hiked the Nakasendo and travelled on train to just about everywhere, Alastair knows his stuff.

Matthew Joslin: Matthew Joslin has been passionate about Japan ever since he started learning the language and inhaling the culture in his early teens. Graduating in Japanese and Spanish from the University of Sheffield, he has lived and studied in Tokyo, created bespoke Japan itineraries at a specialist tour operator and travelled the country from top to bottom, getting to know the diverse wonders of off-the-beaten-track Japan. He currently leads on marketing and PR at the Japan National Tourism Organisation.
