Most visitors to Japan simply pass through airports on their way to enjoy the country’s iconic cities and landscapes. The CULTURE GATE to JAPAN project has been set up inside seven of Japan's airports and a cruise terminal to enrich that transition, exhibiting art by cutting-edge creators inspired by Japan’s diverse regional traditions, history and culture. Each of the exhibits showcase the local culture of that specific region, so you don’t even need to leave the airport to get a culture fix. We’ve put together a gallery of some of the incredible artworks you can see across Japan’s airports…

Through the CULTURE GATE to JAPAN  project, you can admire art instillations at seven airports and a cruise terminal, including New Chitose, Chubu Centrair International, Fukuoka, Naha, Tokyo International (Handa), Narita International, Kansai International airports and Tokyo International Cruise Terminal.
